College grades your concept. Site grades your dimensions.

Five years of design education, and almost none of it spent on what happens after a client says yes. Most graduates cannot produce a drawing set a contractor can build from, have never assembled a BOQ, and have never audited work on a live site.

Studios know this. It is why a fresher takes six to nine months to become useful, and why somebody pays a salary for that time. We have paid it every year we have hired. This programme exists to close that gap before the first job, not during it.

What you leave with

Not topics covered. Things you will have made, that you cannot make today.

• A complete working drawing set for a live project, issued in studio format.
• A full BOQ you built line by line, with rates, wastage and exclusions.
• A snag list from a real site audit, with severity and responsibility assigned.
• Two execution-scale details you drew, then defended to a panel.
• A portfolio of 17 deliverables that shows execution, not renders.
• A written assessment of exactly where you stand, criterion by criterion.

Which means that on your first day in a job you can take a site measurement that will not have to be redone, answer a contractor's question without putting him on hold, and read a vendor quote well enough to catch what has been left out of it.

Eighteen sessions, in three phases

Wednesday and Saturday, two hours a session, nine weeks. Every session ends with work that is due at the start of the next one.

Fee

We announce the fee in the room, after you have seen how the studio works and what the nine weeks actually involve. Come to the masterclass and you will know before anyone else does.

Two tracks, one standard

A drawing does not build itself. One side has to draw something buildable; the other has to read it correctly. We teach both sides the same standard.

Who teaches it

Both faculty are practising, and both are working on the same live projects the programme uses. Guest faculty from the trades come in for specific sessions.

Questions people ask

Is this a degree or a diploma?

No. Studio2Site is a private vocational skill programme. The completion certificate is an industry credential, not a qualification recognised by the UGC, AICTE or the Council of Architecture, and it does not entitle anyone to register as an architect.

Who can apply?

Final-year students and recent graduates in architecture and interior design. No prior site experience is expected — that is the point of the programme.

Do I need my own laptop?

Yes, and bring it to every session. AutoCAD for drawings and SketchUp for 3D. Most of each session is spent doing the work, not watching it.

Will I get a job at the end?

We hire from every cohort, and the top performers are offered a role at COZ Design Studio. It is not a placement guarantee. Everyone who finishes leaves with an execution portfolio, a written scorecard and a place in our partner network.

What if I miss a session?

The deliverable is still due at the start of the next session. Each session builds on the one before it, so missing two will put you behind the rest of the cohort.

Why only five seats?

Five is what two faculty can teach properly while still running the studio's own projects. With a larger batch, each person's drawings would get less time than they need.
